nickwusz FEEL THAT GROOVE! Another stellar track from Motrik. And thank you for the introduction to Hazel Hall…as a Portlander, I had no idea about her, she sounded like a very observant soul…I will be checking out her poetry! Favorite track: Hazel Hall.

about

Portland Oregon, 1920. Poet Hazel Hall releases her first collection of work including, “The Hand Mirror”. The poem written from the window of her second story room, examines a poignant and voyeuristic view of life, in and outside of oneself. Fast forward 104 years - Møtrik’s newest single, Hazel Hall, with lyrics inspired by “The Hand Mirror” and mixed by John McEntire (Tortoise, Yo La Tengo, Stereolab, The Sea and Cake), launches forward with a repetitive charge of signature kosmiche energy, diving deep into the distortion of the psyche while gazing into the silver mirror of the past.
